[Tutorial] How to Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 Untethered

This is my first tutorial. Its helping you how to jailbreak your Iphone which has the latest software 5.0.1. After you have updated from iOS 4 to iOS 5, there are no ways in downgrading it and it will have many errors such a lagging and battery drain. Many people say after jailbreaking, you will lost your warranty. Its a lie. You still will have your warranty before it expires. This jailbreak doesnt work on Iphone 4s and works perfectly on others.

Difference between tethered and untethered jailbreak. IMPORTANT!

A Tethered Jailbreak: A tethered jailbreak means that each time you reboot your iDevice, the boot process will fail (you’ll get stuck on the Apple logo). To get around this you will need to plug your iDevice back into your computer and re-run the jailbreaking tool you originally used to jailbreakyour iDevice.

A Untethered Jailbreak: An untethered jailbreak is the opposite of a tethered jailbreak, meaning that your iDevice will function as normal; except it will be jailbroken.

Now why do these two terms interest you? Well the next iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak will be a tetheredjailbreak for newer iDevices, so it is important you understand what a tethered jailbreak means. If you have an iPad, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 2G MC, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G your jailbreak is going to be tethered until comex fixes his untethered exploit. If you have an older iDevice like aniPod Touch 2G Non MC, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3Gs old bootrom your jailbreak will be an untetheredjailbreak, so you do not need to worry about having a tethered jailbreak.

For Users On iOS 5.0.1 Tethered Jailbreak ( which is mine previously)

If you are currently operating an A4 device which has a tethered jailbreak using Redsn0w,Ac1dSn0w or Sn0wbreeze then you can simply launch Cydia from your Springboard and download a package named ‘Corona’ which will provide you with an untethered jailbreak.

For Users On Stock iOS 5.0.1( first time jailbreak-ing your phone) :

If your device is running stock iOS 5.0.1 then you can use download the latest Redsn0w 0.9.10b1 to for either Windows or Mac to give yourself an untethered jailbreak. Follow the instructions as below.

It will look like this.

Step 1: Download the latest version of Redsn0w from the links given above.

Step 2: Start Redsn0w, select "Jailbreak" then check "Install Cydia". Follow the onscreen steps to place your device into DFU mode. (this is a bit tricky )

Step 3: Wait for Redsn0w to apply the full untethered jailbreak!

After that your phone will be fully jailbreak with untethered! Good luck trying. :)

Stephanie 19th Birthday.

Planned to celebrate Stephanie's Birthday on 29th December. She is turning 19 when Im going to be 20. So unfair right? Decided to go Amici Bistro ( a Italian restaurant near TC ). There are some trouble planning it but I'm okay now. I think we talked a lot and laugh madly. The whole restaurant was looking at us kids keep laughing. Who cares when we are having fun? haha!

Christmas Eve 2011

It been a while since I last updated my blog. So sorry to my readers because of my laziness. I will be more hardworking now. Been busy with house chores since I have to do almost everything and I need to go work. Most exciting is planning the trip with friends. Even though there are many problems about the plan but now we succeed.

Celebrated my friend Kar Ann's birthday on Christmas Eve. Its been a while I celebrated Christmas in Kuantan. I promised her few months ago to celebrate with her and I want to keep my promise. Decided to have dinner at Yuen Yuen Restaurant ( a Chinese Steamboat Restaurant ). For me, the food is nice. Lets show the pictures.

Meeting Chuckei

Chuckei tweeted that she is coming to Kuantan for Adidas Neo for promotion. Early in the morning, I checked my twitter and she said she is going to Megamall. I asked my friends, Stephanie, Jiayi and Jia Iaw if they are interested to see our favourite blogger. We arrived at Megamall around 2pm and meet up with Jia Iaw. We quickly went to the new Adidas store and saw Jane a.k.a Chuckei , her sister Ashley and her boyfriend Keat. We are so nervous to go in the shop to meet them. 

The braveness came and our leader Jia Iaw went in first followed by me , Steph and Jiayi. Chuckei was so friendly to us and we successfully took our pictures. She is super tall for a girl and her sister, Ashley is even taller. They are without heels in the pictures. Can you imagine?

Its already December. Cant believe it! Its going to be Christmas and then New Year and the most important event, Chinese New Year. Cant wait for the parties. Im such a nerd now, staying at home facing books. There are many things to do after exam.

Hmm, shopping for clothes for the parties, dye my hair, non stop watching drama, Genting trip , organizing parties and Hong Kong trip!!

Its been 2 weeks since my Dad's Birthday. I don't have the time to update my blog since I'm super busy with exams. 3 more papers to go! Loving the date of his birthday. 20.11.2011. Such a special date to remember. I think everyone had fun that night. Almost everyone was drunk. Imagine finishing 30+ bottles and wine excluding beers and whiskeys. I was shocked when I count them.

Kinda big update for my blog today. Tried many new templates from the internet but I dont really like them. Some are too childish and some are too girlish. At the end, I did it myself. I dont really know how to do it and all my things are mixed up. Boo. Im not that professional like Chuckei or Andrew. Still trying though Im not satisfied with anything. Shall continue changing it after exam.

Today is a special date and celebrating with special friends! Look at page header.Look!! Look!! Really enjoyed taking the last few pictures with them. Our last few days wearing school uniform. Its gonna be the end of our Form 6 life. How is life without them? Talking, laughing and playing like no one business. I specially made a card for each and everyone in my class. Im not good in making them but I hope they like it. The results is they really like it. I am really touched. I purposely find those ugly or funny pictures taken with them. Hope my little message to them, they would like it.
